DISCUSSION Using the SCSI card for other devices can be tricky. Sometimes SCSI IDs must be set with a jumper on the card and the software must be reconfigured to use another address for the card. Similarly, the scanner will theoretically operate with other SCSI cards or some built-in SCSI implementations, but different drivers will be required -- and Apple will not support other SCSI cards. (Note that this rules out all Microchannel-equipped IBM PS/2s as supported configurations.) |
