This article tells how to determine which edition and version, such as Pro Player, of QuickTime is installed on your computer.

How to Determine Which Edition Is Installed
1. Open the QuickTime Settings control panel.
2. Choose Registration from the pop-up menu (see Figure 1).
The field named QuickTime indicates which edition of QuickTime is installed. In Figure 1, QuickTime Pro is installed.

How to Determine Which Version Is Installed
1. Open the QuickTime Settings control panel.
2. Choose About QuickTime from the pop-up menu (see Figure 2).
The installed version of QuickTime is displayed. In Figure 2, QuickTime 5.0.1 is installed.
