The availability of a submenu is noted by a gray triangle next to a folder in a pop-up menu. Note that the original "untitled folder" has the triangle, but its alias does not (Figure 1).
Solution
This is expected behavior for Mac OS X 10.0.
- You place a folder or disk which contains aliases in the Dock.
- When you Control-click that folder or disk in the Dock, the aliases in the pop-up menu do not create submenus as expected.
