Symptom
When you try to scan, you see an alert box with this message:
"Sorry, an error has occurred saving to the file (File create error.)"
Note: This affects drivers that are installed in the Classic System Folder, and thus the symptom occurs when you are scanning in Classic applications.
Solution
Rebuild the Desktop file for the Classic System Folder. Follow these steps:
1. Choose System Preferences from the Apple Menu
2. Click the Classic icon .
3. Click the Advanced tab.
4. Click Rebuild Desktop.
