Symptom
When your printer is directly connected to a computer, it may offer status messages such as:
- out of paper
- out of ink
- printer busy
Status messages such as these may not appear when the printer is connected via USB to the AirPort Extreme Base Station.
Solution
Check for indicator lights on the printer itself that may convey the same meaning as the alert messages. If necessary for troubleshooting, temporarily connect the printer directly to your computer.
