Properly attaching the antenna on an AirPort Extreme Card

If you don't fully insert the antenna connector when installing an AirPort Extreme Card, you may experience greatly reduced wireless range on your computer.
Make sure the antenna connector is fully inserted, as shown here:


If the connector is not fully inserted, you'll see a large portion of the connector collar, like this:
