You must first install a MIDI transport system in order to route QuickTime MIDI information to and from MIDI devices, or MIDI applications. Once installed, you will see additional pop-up menu choices for configuring the Synthesizer, MIDI port, and Channel options in the QuickTime Settings control panel.
NOTE: QuickTime 3 for Windows does not yet support MIDI output. As of June 1998, the QuickTime Music Synthesizer is the only available option.
