Microsoft Internet Explorer: Configuring For MacBinary

If not set up correctly, Microsoft Internet Explorer may experience difficulty downloading and expanding MacBinary formatted files.
If you experience difficulties with downloading Macbinary files using Microsoft Internet Explorer, be sure you have Stuffit Expander selected in the File Helpers of your Internet Explorer Preferences.

To make sure that this is the setting, perform the following procedure:

This enables Internet Explorer to successfully download, identify, and expand MacBinary formatted files regardless of the content of the file name.

If the file does not successfully expand on its own after the download is complete, try double-clicking on the downloaded file to open Stuffit Expander. Alternatively, drag the downloaded file and drop it on Stuffit Expander to convert the file.
