Mac OS X 10.3 Tip: Use Keyboard Viewer for Key Caps functions

Learn about Keyboard Viewer, which replaces the Key Caps utility used in earlier Mac OS X versions.
Mac OS X Panther includes Keyboard Viewer, which is equivalent to Key Caps.

To use Keyboard Viewer, first enable it in International preferences:
  1. From the Apple menu, choose System Preferences.
  2. From the View menu, choose International.
  3. Click Input Menu.
  4. Enable the Keyboard Viewer palette.
  5. Enable "Show input menu in menu bar".

After Keyboard Viewer is enabled, you can use it by choosing Keyboard Viewer from the menu that looks like a flag. It's in the upper right corner of your screen.
