Logic Pro 7: Volume fader does not control the recording level

The volume fader does not change the recording level when an audio track is armed for recording. Logic always records with the same level, regardless of the volume fader setting.

The volume fader adjusts the level of the monitoring signal, not the input signal. The recording level remains the same, since it has no relationship with the level of the monitoring signal.

To decrease or increase the recording level, you have to adjust the gain of the signal source in your audio interface or mixing console.
