Exporting to Apple Lossless from Logic 7

Logic Pro 7 and Logic Express 7 cannot export files directly to Apple Lossless. Instead, you'll need to first export your project to AIFF, and then convert the AIFF file to Apple Lossless using iTunes.

1. Export your project as an AIFF file from Logic Pro 7 or Logic Express 7.
2. Open the AIFF file in iTunes (version 4.6 or later).
3. From the iTunes menu, choose Preferences.
4. Click the Importing tab.
5. From the Import Using pop-up menu, choose Apple Lossless Encoder.
6. Click OK.
7. Select the AIFF file in iTunes and from the Advanced menu, choose Convert selection to Apple Lossless.

To locate your new Apple Lossless file in the Finder, select it in iTunes and from the File menu, choose Show Song File.
