With the Belkin Media Reader with iPod Software 1.1 for iPod photo, you can browse photos you just imported without having to sync iPod with your computer.
The Belkin Camera Link functions the same, whether you are using the 1.0 or 1.1 software. This means if you want to view the photos you imported to iPod photo, load them on your computer from iPod and then use iTunes 4.7 or later to sync them back to iPod photo.
