Some Xerox printer models may be unable to print using the PPD (PostScript Printer Description) files included with a Mac OS X 10.4.0 Tiger installation. If your printer is affected, it may print out the following error message instead of the expected document:

To resolve this issue, download and install the latest version of your printer's PPD file from the Xerox website. After installing the PPD, remove the printer and then add it again using either the Print & Fax pane in System Preferences or Printer Setup Utility. Follow the instructions included with the downloaded file to ensure that the PPD and any plugins that it needs are installed correctly.
Note that this issue and document don't apply to Macs with Mac OS X 10.4.2 or later preinstalled, or to Mac OS X 10.4.2 or later installation discs.
