Some Traditional Chinese input methods in Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger, such as Pinyin, limit the number of candidate characters presented. You can display all candidate characters if you use the Cangjie, Jianyi, or Dayi input methods and also disable the dynamic prompt.
Tip: If you are using the Pinyin input method, switch to Hanin instead. Simply choose Hanin from the Input menu.
Follow these steps:
- Open International preferences (from the Apple menu, choose System Preferences, then click International) and configure the Input Menu so that it displays the input method (or methods) you want (the steps here explain how to do this).
- From the Input menu, choose Preferences.

- An unnamed window appears with preference choices. Click the Typing tab.
- Deselect the "Dynamic Prompt" checkbox.
- Close the window.
