QuickTime 7 on Windows: "Loading" message appears instead of the Content Guide

When using QuickTime 7 on a computer with Windows XP, you might see a "Loading" message instead of the Content Guide if the "Automatically play movie when opened" option is selected in QuickTime preferences.

To prevent this from happening:

1. On the Edit menu, point to Preferences, then click Player Preferences.
2. Deselect the "Automatically play movie when opened" checkbox. The Content Guide should now open normally.

Update to QuickTime 7.1 or later to resolve this.
