Windows clients may not be able to get a DHCP lease from a Mac OS X Server, even though clients using other operating systems can.
To resolve the issue:
- Open Server Admin.
- Select DHCP.
- Click the Settings tab at the bottom right-hand side of the window.
- Click the Subnets tab.
- Select the affected subnet.
- Click the Edit button.
- Click the DNS tab.
- Enter your base domain in the Default Domain field.
