iSync: "Can‘t initiate session" alert message

If you cancel an iSync sync from your phone while the phone is syncing with your computer, you may not be able to sync again. Instead, you may see a "Can't initiate session" alert message the next time you try.

To resolve this issue, quit and reopen the iSync application, then sync. Turn the phone off and back on again if the issue persists.
