Mac OS X Server 10.4 or later: Use only lower case domain names for iChat service

When you configure the iChat service in Server Admin, be sure the domains in the Host Domains field contain only lower case letters. If there are any upper case letters, the iChat service may not start.

If the iChat service will not start and any iChat host domains contain one or more upper case letters, follow these steps:

1. Launch Server Admin.
2. Select the appropriate server under Computers & Services.
3. Select the iChat service.
4. Click the Settings tab.
5. Change any upper case letters in the Host Domains field to lower case letters.
6. Click the Save button.
7. Click the Start Service button to start the iChat service.
