Mac OS X 10.4.7 or later: One Preview window opens if twenty or more images are opened simultaneously

Issue or symptom

In Mac OS X 10.4.7 or later, if you open more than nineteen images at once with Preview, the twentieth and successive images will open in a single window.

Solution

This is expected behavior. Use the Preview drawer to view particular images.
