When you create an Aggregate Device in Audio/MIDI setup, the names for inputs and outputs shown in Logic can sometimes be more generic than you might like. You can use Logic's I/O labels to name the inputs and outputs more clearly.
- Choose Audio > Audio Configuration from Logic's main menu.
- In the Audio Configuration window choose View > I/O Labels.
- For each input and output listed, select the button under "Long I/O Label." Double-click in the text box to the right of the button and type in the label you would like to use for the input or output. If you like, you can also type a Short I/O label name that Logic will use when there's not enough room to display the full long name.
The I/O labels will be used for all songs, there is no need to create them more than once, unless you decide to change the label names.
