Mac OS X 10.4 (Japanese): Name a software RAID with ASCII characters initially

When setting up a software RAID with Disk Utility in the Japanese language version of Mac OS X 10.4, you should initially give the software RAID a name that uses ASCII characters only (not 2-byte characters). For example, characters used in the English language, but not Japanese.

After installation is complete, you can rename the software RAID with a Japanese character-based name (2-byte characters) if you wish.

This document will be updated as more information becomes available.
