Xsan 1.4.2: Rebooting MDC may lead to shutdown delay

Issue or symptom

Rebooting an MDC running Xsan 1.4.2 on Mac OS X 10.4.x or Mac OS X Server 10.4.x may result in a potentially endless shutdown delay.

This issue may occur sporadically on Mac OS X 10.4.x and Mac OS X Server 10.4.x systems with Xsan 1.4.2.

Solution

If shutdown process does not complete after several minutes, it may be necessary to force-restart the affected computer.
