Apple DVD Player: Type 1 or Type 2 Error When First Opened

Symptom

After opening Apple DVD Player, an alert box appears, which says that an error of Type 1 or Type 2 occurred. This occurs only the first time you turn on a new computer, complete the Setup Assistant, and open the Apple DVD Player application. It does not occur whenever you restart the computer later.


Solution

Restart the computer.
