The version posted to the Apple Software Updates Web site at
http://www.apple.com/swupdates/ is newer than the one that was included on the Final Cut Pro disc (version 1.0.1). Apple recommends that all Power Macintosh G3 (Blue and White) customers download and install the most recent firmware updater for their computer. It is not necessary to install version 1.0.1 before installing the most recent version.
Note: If you install the most recent version of the firmware updater, and then attempt to install the 1.0.1 version of the firmware updater after that, you will receive and error dialog box that says you already have a newer version of firmware and it will not allow you to run the updater.
