If you do a clean installation of Mac OS 9 and an icon for your printer is not available in the Chooser, you may need to reinstall the software that came with your printer.
- If you have a StyleWriter, StyleWriter II, or StyleWriter 1200, use the StyleWriter 1500 driver that comes with Mac OS 9 (instead of installing your original printer software).
- If you have a Color StyleWriter 2200 or 2400, install the Color StyleWriter 2500 driver that comes with Mac OS 9 (instead of installing your original printer software).
You may also need to reinstall fonts that came with your printer software. Follow the instructions that came with your printer software.
Note: If you have a Color StyleWriter 4100 or 4500 series be aware that Mac OS 9 does not include a compatible driver for these printers, and you should not install an older driver. For more information, see the following Knowledge Base article:
