Using the Software Restore disc to "Restore in Place" may remove the Burn CD command from the Finder's Special menu. You may also need to install Disc Burner software in order to see all the Disc Burner menu commands in the Finder.
Symptom
CD-R and CD-RW discs can be initialized, but the Burn CD command is no longer available from the Finder's Special menu.
Solution
Disc Burner 1.0 and later installs Finder 9.1.1, which may be newer than the version of the Finder installed during a Restore in Place. Use the Software Update control panel to download and install Disc Burner software on the computer. It can also be downloaded from Apple Software Updates (http://www.apple.com/swupdates/).
