Your optical drive can "burn" (record) your favorite music, computer applications, documents, and other digital files on recordable CDs. You can create your own music CDs and play them on a standard audio player.
CD-R (CD-Recordable) and CD-RW (CD-Rewritable) discs come in normal and high-speed formats. You can write once to CD-R discs or erase and rewrite data to CD-RW discs.
You can't write (save) anything on a CD-ROM disc.
