There is a noticeable delay at startup. The progress window displays messages like "waiting for application services", or other similar messages.
Solution
Configure the DHCP server to give the correct information--or none if not using NetInfo parents.
To set the Mac OS X Server's DHCP Server do the following:
2. Click the Network tab.
3. Click the DHCP icon and select Configure DHCP/NetBoot from the pop-up menu.
4. Click the Subnets tab.
5. Double-click subnet to edit the subnet information.
6. Click the NetInfo tab.
7. Delete all information if not using NetInfo parents.
8. Click Save.
You can also disable binding on the client if not using NetInfo parents.
2. Click the lock icon to authenticate if necessary.
3. Deselect NetInfo.
4. Click Apply.
