PowerBook G4 (17-inch): External Speaker Noise During Sleep

External amplified speakers connected to the computer make a static noise when it is in sleep.

Solution

Use one of these workarounds:

• Turn down the volume on the external speakers.
• Disconnect the external speakers.
• Unplug the external speakers' AC power source.
