In Mac OS X, after updating to QuickTime 6.3, you should also update the MPEG-2 Playback Component
To be compatible with QuickTime 6.3, the MPEG-2 Playback Component (version 6.0) also needs to be updated.

The MPEG-2 Playback Component (version 6.3) is available to past purchasers via the QuickTime software update and within the Apple Store account used to purchase the MPEG-2 Playback Component.

Automated Software Update Installation (Mac OS X)

    1. Choose Apple menu > System Preferences.
    2. Choose View > QuickTime.
    3. Click the Update tab.
    4. Click Update Now.
