Since these computers do not have built-in video support, a video card must be used. If the video card does not support software resolution switching, a video adapter may be required to display any resolution other than 640x480.

Out of the box, the built-in video in these computers does not support the Multiple Scan 15 Display. To use the Multiple Scan 15 Display with these computers, you must either use a compatible third-party display adapter, or use a separate video card instead of the built-in video.

The Apple 824 and 824GC video card displays a resolution of 640x480 on the Multiple Scan 15 Display. In order to use another resolution, a display adapter is required.
