RAM Disk: Requires 6 MB RAM Minimum

What is the minimum amount of memory a Macintosh needs in order to enable a RAM disk?
With the 7.1.3 Memory control panel, included as part of Mac OS 7.5, the RAM disk cannot be turned on with less than 4 MB of RAM. When you open the control panel, the RAM disk option appears briefly and then disappears.

At least 6 MB of RAM is required to use a RAM disk.
