Apple Presentation System: Screen Squeeze Known Issues

This article discusses known issues Screen Squeeze has when used with various Macintosh computers. Screen Squeeze is a control panel that comes with the Apple Presentation System (M2895LL/A).
Bus Error on LCII

The Apple Presentation System (M2895LL/A) when used on a Macintosh LCII computer, is incompatible with v2.1 of the Screen Squeeze control panel. When the Screen Squeeze control panel loads a bus error occurs.

The problem is with v2.1 of the Screen Squeeze control panel, which comes with the Apple Presentation System. Focus Enhancements Technical Support is aware of the problem suggests replacing the Screen Squeeze Control Panel v2.1 with v2.0, or replacing v2.1 with v2.2.

The following information is from Focus Enhancements:

2.1 of Screen Squeeze requires the presence of the Display Manager. It is automatically installed on any Macintosh running System 7.5, or if the Display Enabler extension is installed. If someone experiences a startup crash with v2.1, they either need to replace it with v2.0 (they function the same), install the Display Enabler, or replace v2.0 with v2.2 of Screen Squeeze.

Blurry Image on Power Macintosh LC5200

The image on Macintosh 5200, 6200, and 5300 series computers may appear blurry or out of focus on the computer display, and thus on the television.

Focus Enhancements has released Screen Squeeze 3.0d11, which provides compatibility with Performa and Power Macintosh 5xxx/6xxx systems. It is NOT available from Apple, but can be obtained by contacting Focus Enhancements.
