As consumables, toner cartridges are not covered by Apple's warranty.

If the toner cartridge worked properly when first installed and developed image quality defects thereafter, the issues are usually caused by the media that was sent through the printer.

To avoid potential issues with the toner cartridge, and use only approved paper types and weights for your printer. This information is available in your LaserWriter User's Guide, which was included with your LaserWriter.
