System 7.5: Updates, Versions, and What‘s Installed

There are several Mac OS System 7.5 configurations which may have been installed on a Macintosh computer. Each installer has unique requirements. In addition, the System 7.5 version that shipped on Macintosh computers varies.

The charts below provide a guideline to determine installation requirements for the various System 7.5 updates/versions, as well as using the About this Macintosh selection under the Apple menu to determine what is currently installed.
