I performed a clean installation of System 7.5.3 from the Macintosh System 7.5 Version 7.5.3 CD-ROM disc, and then I installed System 7.5.5 Update on my Power Macintosh 8500. When I restarted the computer, a dialog appeared with this message:
"...the energy saver extension is incompatible with this system. It's version 2.0.2 but should be version 2.0.2."
What is wrong?
Make sure you are using the same version of the Energy Saver control panel and Energy Saver extension. Then, increase the memory partition of the Energy Saver control panel by 23K to correct this.
