LaserWriter 8.5.1: Collate Feature

I am using System 8 with the LaserWriter 8.5.1 driver, but am unable to use the collate feature. How can I get it to work properly?
The LaserWriter 8.5.1 driver offers a collate feature on Mac OS 7.5 through Mac OS 7.6.1, and Mac OS 8.1 (The collate option is not available on Mac OS 8.0).  Users running Mac OS 8.0 can download a free upgrade from Apple Software Updates sites. Additional information about the collate option can also be found in the LaserWriter 8.5.1 Read Me document.
