Mac OS X Server 10.0: NetBoot 2 Installer Should Be Run by root

When installing NetBoot 2, with Mac OS X Server 10.0, the NetBoot 2 installer will not run successfully unless the user is logged in as root.
Symptom

If the NetBoot 2 installer is run by a user other than root, an alert box appears with a message that indicates the installation was not successful.

Solution

Mac OS X Server 10.0: To install NetBoot 2.0, log in as root and then run the Installer.

Mac OS X Server 10.1 and NetBoot 2.0.2 resolve this issue.
