Color StyleWriter 6500: How to clear paper jams

On a Color StyleWriter 6500, the paper jam error state occurs if the printer detects paper at the platen after attempting to eject paper to the OUT tray. The Power and Resume lights alternately blink to indicate this condition.

NOTE: The Power and Resume lights alternately blink to indicate several other conditions as well, such as a carriage stall. Make sure this condition is caused by a paper jam before using the method below.

CAUTION: Do NOT pull paper out by force. Doing so could damage the printer. Clear paper jams by feeding paper through the paper path, as follows:

1. With the printer on, open the printer's access door and press and hold the Resume button. This causes the drive rollers to move.

2. Release the Resume button and press it again to move the rollers in the opposite direction.

3. When you have removed the paper, close the access door to print.
