8x CD-ROM and FWB‘s CD-ROM Toolkit

When I insert a CD into my 8x CD-ROM, nothing happens and the CD never mounts. What is wrong?
Versions of the CD-ROM Toolkit prior to 1.6.3P do not provide proper support for 8x CD-ROM drives. If a customer reports problems mounting CDs with an 8x CD-ROM, verify the version of CD-ROM Toolkit. If it is prior to 1.6.3P, the customer must be fulfilled version 1.6.3P or later.
