Symptom
Imported DV clips have a blank, gray thumbnail in the shelf and timeline. The clips play back normally in the preview window despite the thumbnail's appearance.
Solution
Download and install the iMovie 3.0.2 update, or later. It is available from Apple Featured Software (
http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/).
