Kid Works 2 depends on it's own text-to-speech engine called "ProVoice". Part of this engine is an application called "fbvgn". Kid Works 2installs the folder called "ProVoice Folder" in the Preferences folder located in the System Folder. The "fbvgn" application needs to have launch priviledges within At Ease for text-to-speech to work properly. At Ease administrators should add the "fbvgn" application to any user set that has Kid Works 2 so that text-to-speech works properly when Kid Works 2 is launched from At Ease. This can be done using the At Ease Setup application included with the Early Language Connections software bundle.
If you are still having problems using Kid Works 2, the Kid Works 2 Bilingual Read Me included with the application states the following for troubleshooting:
"If you are running At Ease and experience problems with Kid Works 2 Bilingual: Exit Kid Works 2 Bilingual. Turn At Ease off. Re-launch Kid Works 2 Bilingual."
