Virex: Results Area

This article discusses what I can find in the results area.
By default, the Results area shows information that relates to your current DAT files. However, when you run a scan, the area shows the following information:

The scan settings

When the scan starts

The folders and files included in the scan

Summary report showing the number of files scanned, the number of files scanned and the number of files that might be infected.

When the scan finishes

To turn off the detailed reporting option, go to the Preferences dialog and deselect the Show detailed results information.

You can print the information, or save it as a text document in RTFD format.

You can also select part of the results, and copy and paste it into another application, such as TextEdit.  

Results from subsequent scans will append themselves to the original results until you use the Clear button in the toolbar.

NOTE: Use the Clear button on the toolbar to refresh the DAT information in the Results area after a DAT update.
