Virex: The Command-Line Scanner

Virex 7.x Command-Line Anti-Virus Scanner provides the same sophisticated virus scanning as the Virex application, but through a command-line interface.

The scanner can be run through the Terminal application in the Application Utilities folder. Online Help for the command-line scanner provided by its 'man' pages describes all the command options, syntax, return codes and examples, and explains how to update your virus definition (DAT) files.
