The Macintosh II High-Resolution Video Card requires pin 4 of its video
connector to be grounded. It is likely that pin 4 is not used or connected to
ground in the Kodak DataShow or its cable. A simple solution is to have a new
cable made that grounds pin 4. This cable can replace the current cable or be
attached to the current cable as an extension.
The Macintosh II High-Resolution Video Card can switch between two video modes.
Grounding pin 4 selects the standard mode. The optional video mode is an
interlaced video signal and is not compatible with the Apple High-Resolution
Monitors or devices like the Kodak DataShow, that are designed for the card's
standard video signal output.
