Hatch patterns can be defined and saved by the user. The number of lines, the repeat pattern, line dashes and line orientation can be controlled by the user. Hatch patterns cannot include arcs, ovals or circles. The color of the hatch pattern cannot be specified before the hatching is applied to an object, but since the hatch pattern is just a 'grouped object', it can be ungrouped and its component lines can be individually colored, dashed, etc.
