Claris CAD: Saving Ruler Settings & Preferences in Stationery Files

Claris CAD lets you create a stationery file with your favorite settings and preferences.

This information was provided by Claris Corporation on 16 March 1998, and incorporated into Apple Computer's Tech Info Library.
Each time you open the stationery file, it comes up as an untitled file which you can then name as you desire. The items you can set include anything that you can set or draw in a file: a default font, pen and ruler settings and objects you have drawn. As an example, you could have a title box with your company name and/or logo, set Times as a default font and create four layers. Every time that you launch the stationery file, a new untitled file will open that is exactly the same as your stationery file.

If you name the stationery file "Claris CAD Options" and place it in the System Folder, Claris CAD will automatically launch this file when you double-click the Claris Cad program icon. If you launch one of your drawing files rather than the program, the Options file will not affect it.

If you are running Claris Cad 2.0 or later, you may also place the Claris CAD Options file in the Claris Folder.
