MacDraw II/MacDraw Pro: Pasting from Illustrator & Freehand

When copying / pasting from Adobe Illustrator or Aldus Freehand into MacDraw II or MacDraw Pro, hold down the option key while selecting the cut or copy command. The objects will paste correctly.

This information was provided by Claris Corporation on 16 March 1998, and incorporated into Apple Computer's Tech Info Library.
When copying / pasting from Illustrator, the objects may appear solid black.

This is because a black mask of the objects has been pasted into MacDraw over the desired objects. To remove this mask, after pasting, deselect all objects, click the solid black object, then delete. The desired objects will be visible.
