Claris CAD 2.0 v3 can save out an EPSF file. The EPSF kit, which contains the correct XTND engine and filter and instructions, is available without charge from Claris Customer Relations.
If you do not see all of these options in your Claris CAD file's Open... or Save As... dialogs, see Chapter 1 of the New Features Guide about correct installation of the XTND filters.
Also, Claris offers a separate translator program, the Claris Graphics Translator (CGT). CGT 1.1 offers translations from:
- Claris CAD 1.0
- Claris CAD 2.0
- IGES 3.0
- IGES 4.0
- DXF 9
- DXF 10
- DXF 11
- MacDraw
- MacDraw II
- PICT
and translations to:
- Claris CAD 2.0
- IGES 3.0
- IGES 4.0
- DXF 10
- MacDraw II 1.1
- PICT
The translator also offers several convenient features, such as timed translations and report generating. Please note the Claris Graphics Translator can translate the file, but it cannot transfer it between computers. This file transfer can be accomplished with a network, modem, a serial cable connecting the computers (with communications software), with Apple File Exchange and an FDHD (Apple's high density floppy drive) equipped Macintosh, or an Apple PC drive or DaynaFile. The best method of file transferring depends on the types and proximity of the computers involved, as well as the available peripherals and software.
