MacPlot: Vector vs. Raster Fonts When Plotting

MacPlot driver uses vector or raster to print out depending on whether you've chosen Draft or Final mode for text .

This information was provided by Claris Corporation on 16 March 1998, and incorporated into Apple Computer's Tech Info Library.
Draft text quality: All fonts are printed using the Geneva Plain font that's built into the plotter, which is a vector-based font.

Final text quality: Only the Geneva Plain, italics and underline text are printed using the plotter's built-in vector-based Geneva font. All other fonts and font styles are printed using the screen's bitmapped font. These bitmapped fonts will look like ImageWriter quality, will take much longer to print, and will wear out the plotter pens faster.
